Pointing lab needs a good home

Friends,

It breaks my heart to write this email but I need to find a home for my one year old pointing lab, Sage. She's been incontinent since we got her but I was hopeful she'd outgrow it. When it became clear her problem wasn't going away we had a surgical procedure done to correct what appeared to be the cause of the problem, with no positive effect. The burden of this upon my family is too much to contemplate living with for the next 10 - 15 years. Sage would be great in an outdoor kennel, perhaps at a gun club or farm. She's a Certified Pointing Retriever and has hunted wild Grouse and Woodcock as well as released pheasant, quail, chukar, hun etc. Additionally, I spent a great deal of time with her hunting waterfowl this season and she performed terrifically. She received three months of hunting training by Mike Lettau at K&L Kennels in Higginsville, MO.

Sage's father is Otter (Bar None's Snake River Otter MH QAA), a 4X Grand Master Pointing Retriever and the first 4XGMPR to be inducted into the American Pointing Lab Association Hall of fame. Her mother is Genie (Poudre River's Bird Magic Genie) and is impressively credentialed. Info about both dogs can be found at www.poudrerivergundogs.com .

Sage is petite for a lab, weighing in at 50's. She has a very sweet and relaxed temperament and is happy and playful around other dogs and yet she's all business when the hunt is on. She is, by every other measurement, a great family pet and hunting companion.

Please share with your friends in the hunting community as I would really like to find Sage an ideal home. Your help is very much appreciated and please direct any inquires to me at the contact info below.
